Terms of Service

The Short Version: Be respectful, don't share your login credentials, and use our platform as intended to master 2 CFR 200. We built this to help you, and by using the platform, you agree to play fair.

Welcome to 2CFRGeek, operated by MountUp Support LLC, a company organized under the laws of the State of Wyoming. These Terms govern your use of the platform — the practice drills, the Official Credential Exam, the team tools, and everything in between. We've written them to be fair and readable. By creating an account or using 2CFRGeek, you agree to them; if you don't, the platform isn't for you. If anything here conflicts with a signed enterprise agreement, the signed agreement wins.

1. Who Can Use 2CFRGeek

You must be at least 16 years old and authorized to enter a binding agreement. 2CFRGeek is built for professionals learning or working in federal grants compliance under 2 CFR 200. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials safe and for everything that happens while you're signed in.

2. Plans & Pricing

We offer several subscription tiers — from individual study through enterprise-grade team management — each available monthly or annually. For current rates, see our pricing page; for Enterprise custom pricing, for a quote.

The Official Credential Exam is purchased separately as a one-time exam ticket (Standard or Exam Shield Bundle — see the pricing page for current rates). We sometimes run promotions; whatever price you pay at checkout is the price that applies to your subscription or ticket. We'll give active subscribers notice before any material price change.

3. Payment, Renewal & Cancellation

Payments are processed by Stripe. Monthly plans renew automatically each month and annual plans renew automatically each year until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the billing portal in your account — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then. We honestly hope you never want to leave, but we know funding cycles change, so we've made cancellation self-serve. See our Refund Policy for refund eligibility.

3.1. Founding Member Pricing

From time to time we offer Founding Member tiers — Solo Geek (Founding Member) and Command Center (Founding Agency) — at locked-in, below-market rates. These rates are a reward for early adoption and continuous loyalty. The following terms apply:

  • Locked-in guarantee. Your Founding Member price never increases for the life of your subscription. This applies to both monthly and annual billing.
  • Continuous subscription required. The locked-in rate is valid only while your subscription remains active without interruption. If you voluntarily cancel, you permanently forfeit your Founding Member pricing — you cannot reclaim it by re-subscribing, and no exceptions are made for voluntary churn.
  • Involuntary churn grace. If your subscription lapses due to a failed payment (e.g., an expired credit card), a 14-day grace period applies. During this period, your Founding Member pricing is preserved so you can update your payment method and recover. If the grace period expires without recovery, the pricing is permanently forfeited.
  • Upgrading to a standard tier. If you upgrade from a Founding tier to a standard tier, you release your grandfathered pricing. You keep a legacy founder badge for display purposes only — it carries no pricing benefit.
  • No transferability. Founding Member pricing is tied to your account and cannot be transferred to another user or organization.

4. The Official Credential Exam — Open-Book Mechanics

The Official 2 CFR 200 Credential Exam is deliberately an open-bookassessment. Here's exactly how it works, matching the experience you'll see on screen:

  • You get a single, continuous 120-minute session. The countdown can't be paused and the exam auto-submits at 00:00.
  • You may open a new browser tab to consult the live eCFR or your own notes. Switching tabs is allowed and never triggers a warning or penalty — that's the whole point of open book.
  • To pass, you need a Scaled Score of 700 out of 1000, and your exam must cover the full 2 CFR 200 syllabus (Subparts A–F and Appendices).
  • The exam requires a genuine desktop, laptop, or tablet. Phones are blocked (yes, even with "desktop mode" switched on).
  • The exam is computer-adaptive (CAT) — scenario difficulty calibrates to your ability in real time, so no two exams are identical.

5. Exam Integrity & Ticket Forfeiture

Your exam ticket is consumed the moment you start the exam — not when you submit — so there are no free restarts. Here's precisely what forfeits a ticket or ends an attempt, aligned with the actual exam guardrails:

  • Choosing to exit forfeits your ticket. If you press the "Exit & Forfeit" button during the exam, your attempt ends, no credential is issued, and you can't resume.
  • The 120-minute limit is enforced server-side. When time expires, your exam is auto-submitted and the session is permanently locked; you're graded on whatever answers were saved.
  • A page refresh does not forfeit. If your browser refreshes or drops momentarily, the timer resumes from where it left off — the server is the source of truth for elapsed time, so you won't be punished or get a fresh 120 minutes.
  • Open-book is not open-scrape. Copy, paste, right-click, and text selection are disabled during the exam to protect the question bank. Attempting to bypass these with automated bots, scraping tools, or developer-console tricks violates these Terms, voids your attempt without refund, and may suspend your account.

In short: open a tab and read the regulation all you like — just don't try to cheat the exam itself or extract our content.

6. Acceptable Use

Don't share your account credentials, resell or redistribute question content, attempt to extract the question bank, or interfere with the platform's security. Each person needs their own account. Violations can result in immediate suspension, credential revocation, and forfeiture of paid tickets without refund.

7. Credentials & Verification

When you pass, we issue a credential with a public verification link. You may share that link with employers. We can revoke a credential if it was obtained through fraud, cheating, or a violation of these Terms. A credential from 2CFRGeek demonstrates readiness; it is not a government certification and is not endorsed by OMB or any federal agency.

8. Intellectual Property

The platform's content — questions, explanations, citations, scenarios, and software — is the property of MountUp Support LLC. You may use it for your own learning while your account is active. You may not copy, redistribute, or republish it without written permission. The underlying 2 CFR 200 regulation is public and belongs to the federal government; our curriculum and delivery are ours.

9. Educational Purpose & Limitation of Liability

2CFRGeek is an educational and compliance-readiness tool. Using it does not guarantee you'll pass a real audit or achieve regulatory compliance, and it isn't legal advice. You're responsible for verifying all information against the most current federal statutes. To the fullest extent the law allows, MountUp Support LLC is not liable for any damages arising from use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Account Closure

You can delete your account from your dashboard at any time. We can also suspend or close an account that violates these Terms or threatens platform integrity. On closure, your personal data is removed within 30 days, subject to the retention noted in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. We'll post the updated version with a new "last updated" date, and for material changes we'll notify active subscribers by email. Continued use after changes takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Retake Cooldown & Loyalty Tickets

If you fail the Official Credential Exam, a 90-day retake cooldown begins — measured server-side, so it can't be bypassed by refreshing or switching devices. Having an available exam ticket in your balance waives the cooldown and lets you retake immediately. Annual subscribers at the Mastery tier and above earn one free exam ticket every 90 days as part of our loyalty program — the ticket appears in your balance automatically and never expires while your subscription is active.

13. Team Operations & Multiplayer Sessions

The platform includes team-based training modules — War Room, Boss Fight, Relay Race, Red Team, and Ledger. These sessions involve real-time collaboration with other participants. Here's what you agree to when you host or join one:

  • Hosts control the session. The host who created the room can advance scenarios, admit or remove participants, and close the session. If you're a host, you're responsible for managing your room.
  • Guests can join without an account. A host may invite guests by sharing a PIN code. Guests provide a display name only — no account required. The host is responsible for who they admit.
  • Session data is visible to participants. Votes, annotations, margin notes, and submissions are visible to others in the same session. Don't share sensitive or confidential information in a multiplayer session.
  • Play fair. Don't disrupt sessions, spam other participants, or attempt to crash or overload a room. We can remove participants who violate these rules.

14. Organization Admin Responsibilities

If you're an organization admin (Command Center and above), you can invite team members, define custom KPIs, and dispatch exam tickets to candidates. You're responsible for the email addresses you invite and for ensuring your candidates have consented to taking the exam. Dispatched candidates receive a magic link by email and take their exam without creating a full account — their email address and exam result are stored under your organization. You can remove team members and cancel pending invitations at any time. Enterprise tier admins can also configure LMS and SIEM webhook integrations to push compliance events (exam pass results, audit failures) to external systems — you're responsible for the webhook URLs you configure and for ensuring your IT team has authorized the integration.

15. Severability & Force Majeure

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect. No provision here waives a right unless it says so explicitly and in writing.

We're not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including internet outages, acts of God, or third-party service disruptions. If a paid service is unavailable for an extended period due to such an event, contact us and we'll work with you on a good-faith remedy.

16. Governing Law & Contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. MountUp Support LLC is located at 75 E 3rd St, Ste 7, Sheridan, WY 82801, and can be reached at +1 (307) 303-0153 or through the Contact / Support page. Questions?
